Eastern Music Department to Present Spring Recital


WILBURTON, Okla. – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s Department of Music will present its Spring Recital on Tuesday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mitchell Hall Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public. Masks will be required to attend and attendees are encouraged to socially distance themselves from those outside their family group.

The program will include several instrumental and vocal solos such as “In the Hall of the Mountain King” by Edvard Grieg and “The Entertainer” by Scott Joplin. 

The Eastern Trio will also perform “The Water is Wide” by Roger Emerson, “Blackbird” arranged by Audrey Snyder and “A Festive Alleluia” by Mary Lynn Lightfoot.

Eastern students to perform include Jeremy Allen and Ryley Labor of Wilburton, Morgan Arledge of Hartshorne, Christian Scarberry of Clayton, Alton Jones Jr. of McAlester and Elton Baird of La Marque, Texas. Brian Harris will be the director, with Melanie Harris and Cheryl Wood-Myers serving as accompanists.
