Eastern to open basketball season Nov. 2 in Wilburton
WILBURTON, OK (Oct. 26, 2015) – Eastern Oklahoma State College basketball fans will get their first look at the 2015-16 teams on Monday, Nov. 2 in Wilburton.
The women will take on Mountain View College at 6 p.m., followed by the men’s team facing Bacone College at 8 p.m.
Head Coach Amber Taylor is entering her fifth season as Head Coach of the Lady Mountaineers. She will lead an almost entirely new team this year with only two returning players from last season. Last year, the Lady Mountaineers finished the season with an overall record of 21-12 and as the runner-up in the NJCAA Region II Tournament for the second consecutive year.
Head Men’s Basketball Coach Scott Edgar is also introducing a new team with only four returning players this year. This will be Edgar’s sixth season to lead the Mountaineers. The team finished 17-13 overall last season.
Mountaineer Club memberships are still available for the season, which include single memberships, a couple’s membership, corporate memberships and season passes.
Single memberships are $75 and include one reserved chair-back seat with a name engraved on it, one personalized pass to the hospitality room and admission to all home EOSC games. A couple’s membership has the same amenities for two people and costs $125. Corporate members enjoy the same amenities for $75 for a single membership and $50 for each additional membership. The membership cards can be used for employees, customers, family and friends. Finally, a season pass is available for $50 and includes admission only to all home EOSC games.
