Aggie Club Participates In Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign
Members of the Aggie Club assisted the Salvation Army with their annual Christmas Kettle Campaign on the afternoons of Dec. 3rd and 4th. Club members paired up and rang the traditional bells in front of Roy’s Cardinal Foods in one hour shifts soliciting donations for the cause. The Aggie Club has participated in the event each year since it began in Latimer County three years ago. According to Claudia Jeffrey, program coordinator for Latimer County, all the proceeds raised will remain in the county to assist individuals or families who will be experiencing unexpected hardships in the coming year. Several of the students participated last year and eagerly volunteered again this year. All those who participated thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the opportunity to serve the community.
