CLUB PARTICIPATES IN SALVATION ARMY
CHRISTMAS KETTLE CAMPAIGN
Members of the Aggie Club assisted the
Salvation Army with their annual Christmas Kettle Campaign on
the afternoons of Dec. 5th and 6th. Club members paired
up and rang the traditional bells in front of Roy’s Cardinal
Foods in one hour shifts soliciting donations for the cause. This
is the second year in a row that the Aggie Club has participated
in the event since it began in Latimer County last year. According
to Claudia Jeffrey, program coordinator for Latimer County, all
the proceeds raised will remain in the county to assist individuals
or families who will be experiencing unexpected hardships. Several
of the students participated last year and eagerly volunteered
again this year. All those who participated thoroughly
enjoyed the experience. 12-5-07
