AGRICULTURE STUDENTS “LEARNING BY DOING”

Eastern’s Agriculture Operations employees approximately 10 students on the college farm each Fall and Spring semester.  Agriculture students who qualify for financial aid are often approved for Work Study positions and there are a limited number of Non-Work Study jobs available. 

There are three full time employees associated with Eastern’s farm:

  • Mr. Troy Walker, Agriculture Operations Manager
  • Mr. Leon Henebrink, Farm Foreman
  • Mr. Tracy Simmons, Technician

Depending on personal interests, students have an opportunity to work at the swine education unit or with the beef cattle operation.  If you are interested in the possibility of working on the college farm contact Mr. Troy Walker.  His email address is twalker@eosc.edu.

Student employment is also available in association with the college’s Greenhouse, Meat Processing Plant, and faculty clerical assistance.  If you would like to visit about one of these positions please contact the faculty member in charge of your area of interest.
