The following is an informative tutorial with associated screenshots to help beginners become familar with the DegreeWorks Web Audit program. Overview DegreeWorks Web Audit is a tool for Eastern students to use for monitoring progress towards completion of degree. Eastern's catalog of degree requirements have been compiled into programming rules which are then compared against your transcript data to give a snapshot of all your completed classes, grades and GPA’s and all classes needed to complete your degree. Logging On ::SCREENSHOT You can access this system anywhere you have internet access. (Internet Explorer is recommended) Type in your User ID and Password and click on “Log In”. Your User ID is your first initial, middle initial and last name all combined in capital letters. If you do not have a middle initial in our main student database system then you should enter a blank space for your middle initial. Your password is your 4 digit PIN number that you can obtain from your Advisor. Once logged in you can choose from one of four tabs: “Audit”,
“What If”, “Planner” or “Notes” by
clicking on that tab. Audit ::SCREENSHOT To see your Audit click the Audit tab and then click the “View Audit” button. The audit has a header section with your name, your advisor, degree,
class level and overall GPA followed by a summary paragraph of your total
credits and a check list of the requirements for your degree broken down
by General Education, Major and Developmental Requirements. Each requirement
you have met will be checked off on the list. The Developmental Requirements
are based on your ACT and/or Compass scores that you have on record at
Eastern. If you have no test scores on record this section will show that
you need all Dev classes. You should consult your Advisor in this case
or if an exception has been made. After the degree checklist there is
a listing of all your elective courses, a list of your current in-progress
classes and a listing of all zero credit classes that can not be counted
towards your degree. All transfer classes are listed along with the EOSC
classes that they were articulated to (if applicable). To print a copy
of the audit click on the “Print” button in the upper right
hand corner. What If ::SCREENSHOT The “What If” tab allows you generate a degree audit based
upon if you changed your major or degree path. This can be used to explore
different degree paths at Eastern. Select a new major and the associated
degree from the drop down boxes and click on the “Process Audit”
button to generate a new audit. By default, new audits include in-progress
and pre-registered classes. If you would like to exclude either of these
two groups in an audit then uncheck their checkbox by clicking on their
green check mark before clicking on the Process Audit button. Planner ::SCREENSHOT The Planner tab provides you and your Advisor a place to plan out your
future semester schedules based upon the needed classes from a student’s
degree audit. All work saved in the degree planner is stored along with
the your degree audit. Notes ::SCREENSHOT The Notes tab provides a place to for your Advisor to attach any notes
to your Degree Audit such as requirement waivers and exceptions. Logging Out Once you have finished using Web Audit you should log out by clicking
the “Log Out” icon in the upper right hand corner of the page
and then close your web browser. "TEST" Login If you would like to see a listing of all the requirements for a major in DegreeWorks or if you are not yet enrolled at Eastern and would like to try out DegreeWorks then please log in using TEST as both the UserID and Password. Go to the "What-If" tab, select the major and its associated degree from the drop down lists and then click the "Generate Audit" button. You will see an audit with a full listing of all requirements for that major
