Honors Council

An Honors Council, chaired by the Coordinator is responsible for developing a mission statement and honors code for the Honors Program, making curricular decisions, and setting policy on who teaches honors sections. In addition, the Council assists with recruitment and recommends outside speakers, seminars and activities. The Council is representative of the divisions served by the Honors Program. Its membership includes faculty who teach honors sections, faculty who teach non-honors sections and two students elected by the Honors Student Association. Two year, staggered terms are served.
