Marliynn Duncan, Division Chairperson
The
Social Science and Music Division is one of the most diverse division
on campus relevant to program offerings. The division includes the Psychology
and Sociology Department of which Marliynn Duncan mduncan@eosc.edu
is the department head. This department emphasizes techniques of scientific
inquiry and the contribution of psychology and sociology to the well-being
of society and its members. Also embodied within the division is the Music
Department, Paul Enis, pdenis@eosc.edu,
department chairperson. The areas of emphasis in the Department of Music
include instrumental music, vocal music, piano and theory of music.
The
History & Political Science Department, under the leadership of Chris
Butler, cwbutler@eosc.edu, provides
the Social Science and Music student the opportunity to develop a foundation
in history or political science for university transfer.
Finally,
within the Social Science and Music Division is the Criminal Justice Department
under the guidance of Katharyn A. Couch kacouch@eosc.edu.
This department tailors its programs to the specific career goals of the
student to include, corrections, law, juvenile delinquency, FBI, criminology,
forensics and law enforcement. The Criminal Justice major following the
Collegiate Officer Program (COP) option will be prepared with the academic
and skills requirements necessary to take the Oklahoma Police Office exam
by CLEET leading to his/her full certification as a police officer.
