AGRICULTURE DIVISION

ROBERT L. BORDEN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Robert L. Borden has endowed a scholarship for a deserving student. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, Preference to those from LeFlore or Latimer counties and those majoring in Agriculture.

DR. LLOYD E. CHURCH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - This endowed scholarship established by friends of Dr. Church to support education at EOSC for students who major in Agronomy, Horticulture, or Forestry.

OTHA GRIMES FOUNDATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship to benefit students who are pursuing a degree in the animal science department. This is a renewable award providing the candidate maintains reasonable academic standards. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS senior who has shown leadership, achieved academic success and participated in extracurricular activities.

DOLLY HUGHES HARRISON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Dolly Hughes Harrison has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, resident of southeastern Oklahoma, Agriculture major.

FRED HOLLAND JESTER ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship has been established in memory of Fred Holland Jester by Charles, Sharen and Matthew Turney. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Oklahoma resident, 2.85 GPA and Agriculture major. Academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need will be considered in the selection process.

E.O. ROWLAND ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Mrs. Billie B. Rowland has established an endowed scholarship in memory of her husband. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, Agriculture major.

CARL RYAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Carl Ryan has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS or freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, Agriculture Education major preferably or any area of Agriculture.

PAM SHOEMAKE MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship has been established in memory of Pam Shoemake by family and friends. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, 2.00 GPA, Agriculture major, participation on the Livestock Judging Team. 

HOLLY WALKER ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship awarded to an FFA Panola graduate selected by EOSC agriculture committee who will be majoring in Agriculture at EOSC.

LIVESTOCK JUDGING PRE-ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP - Pre-endowment for students enrolled in the agriculture livestock judging.

OK INDEPENDENT MEATPACKERS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established by the Oklahoma Independent Meatpackers Association. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Sophomore standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, Agriculture Meat Science major.

WEYERHAEUSER FORESTRY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Weyerhaeuser Corporation has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.20 GPA, resident of Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, McCurtain, Pittsburg or Pushmataha County. Forestry (Forestry Transfer, Forest Technology or Parks Management/Outdoor Recreation) major.

ATHLETIC

GUY GARDNER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Friends and family have established an endowed scholarship in memory of Guy Gardner. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, must be an athlete and maintain a 2.50 GPA.

DON MCCLANEN/FCA ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Friends of Don McClanen have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, must be an athlete.

DR. HENRY MIGLIORE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Friends of Dr. Henry Migliore have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, must be an athlete.

LARRY STONE AWARD ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - Friends of Larry Stone have established an annual award scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: maintain reasonable academic standards, must be an athlete.

PATRICIA THOMAS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowment has been established in honor of Patricia Thomas. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Currently enrolled member of Eastern's Cheerleading or Pom Dance squad with a 2.50 grade point average.

BOBBY THOMPSON BASEBALL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Bobby Thompson has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Incoming freshman in good standing and demonstrated financial need. Student must have a minimum of a 3.0 high school GPA and preference given to students who reside in the Logan Co or Northenrn OK Co of OK area to include but not limited to Guthrie, Deer Creek and Edmond High School. Academic Achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need will be considered in the selection process.

JOHN ALAN WARD SCHOLAR ATHLETE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship has been established in memory of John Alan Ward. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, must be an athlete.

BEHAVIORAL & SOCIAL SCIENCE DIVISION

K. LANCE AND JANE WOODLIFF ENDOWMENT - An endowed scholarship has been established by K. Lance and Jane Woodliff. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, must be majoring in Psychology/Sociology.

BUSINESS DIVISION

MARTHA GRANTHAM LEADERSHIP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An annual award scholarship in the amount of $400 has been established in honor of Martha Grantham. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman Scholarship - Must be a high school senior and have declared business as a major, 2.50 or better grade point average, must join and be an active member of Eastern's Phi Beta Lambda chapter, demonstrate leadership abilities and financial need. Sophomore Scholarship - Must be pre-enrolled for the fall semester and have declared business as a major, 2.50 or better grade point average, must join and be an active member of Eastern's Phi Beta Lambda chapter, demonstrate leadership abilities and financial need.

MARY BETH GUARD ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - The Southeastern Oklahoma Bankers Association has established an annual award in the amount of $500. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or Freshman standing, must be majoring in Computer Information Systems.

BILL H. AND ANNA VEE HILL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established by Bill H. and Anna Vee Hill . Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, Office Administration or Business Education major.

KENSEL AND DORTHA LEE TUCKER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Kensel and Dortha Lee Tucker have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.00 GPA, Business major with an Agriculture-related background.

CHARLES E. TURNEY ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship has been established in honor of Charles E. Turney by Charles, Sharen and Matthew Turney. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Oklahoma resident, 2.85 GPA and Business major with an accounting option. Academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need will be considered in the selection process.

GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS

W.E. "BILL" ALLFORD ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - W.E. "Bill" Allford has endowed a scholarship for sophomores. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and 2.50 GPA.

DR. DEL & RAMONA ALLEN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Dr. Del and Ramona Allen have established an endowed scholarship for a sophomore who is an active LEADER in the Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM). The minimum qualifications for an applicant are: 2.50 GPA, a resident of Eastern Oklahoma, an active member of a local Southern Baptist Church or his/her home Southern Baptist Church and financial need. The selection is to be made by the BCM Director, BCM Faculty Advisor and, if available, a member of the endowing family.

JESS AND JUNE BAILEY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Jess and June Bailey have endowed a scholarship for sophomores. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, and financial need.

AUDREY AND TRECA BALENTINE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been created by Audrey and Treca Balentine to assist students pursuing higher education. Eligible applicants must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

CLAUDE CORVIN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Minimum qualifications for applicants: Financial need, preference given to residents of Latimer County, 2.50 GPA.

JOE AND BRENDA COY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Joe and Brenda Coy have endowed a scholarship for a deserving student. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, 2.50 GPA.

DR. E.T. DUNLAP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP- Dr. E.T. Dunlap has endowed a scholarship for sophomores. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and 2.50 GPA.

ED E. ENIS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Ed and Nora Ann Enis have established an endowed scholarship for sophomores. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and maintains reasonable academic standards.

JOHN AND CLARA GAUSTAD ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - Minimum qualifications for applicants: Financial need, preference given to residents of Latimer County.

DEAN TRAVIS J. GERMAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarships will be awarded to students based on need and who are in good standing.

MARY LEA GILLESPIE MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established by the Wilburton Branch of the AAUW in memory of Mary Lea Gillespie. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 2.00 GPA, resident of southeastern Oklahoma, must be child of an AAUW member. Preference to children of members of the AAUW - Wilburton Branch. Selection will be made by the AAUW members of the Wilburton Branch.

JACK GLADDEN MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family and friends have endowed a scholarship in memory of Jack Gladden, former Eastern OK State College football player. Minimum qualifications for applicants: a student in good academic standing.

RICHARD C. AND BARBARA HARTIGAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Richard C. and Barbara Hartigan have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Employees of Wilburton Franklin Electric, their spouses and children. The award shall be based on need, achievement and other factors considered significant by the College.

WILLIE HOGAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Minimum requirements for applicants: 2.5 GPA, sophomore standing, demonstrates leadership abilities and participates in extra-curricular activities.

DENO AND GWEN MAGGI ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Friends and family have established an endowed scholarship in memory of Deno Maggi and Gwen Maggi. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing and maintain reasonable academic standards.

TRISH AND CHRIS MCBEATH ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - Recipients shall be incoming freshman or continuing full-time sophomore who is a graduate of Quinton High School. Student must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA to be eligible.

MARK MCGEE MEMORIAL ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarship for Eastern students who exhibit a need for additional funding for tuition/fees, books, room and board.

GEORGE NIGH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship has been established in honor of George Nigh. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards. Must demonstrate leadership abilities.

ANITA RISNER ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarship for Eastern students who exhibit a need for additional funding for tuition/fees, books, room and board.

JULIAN ROTHBAUM LECTURESHIP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - The Rothbaum Lecturer will be selected each year by a committee named by the President of the College or Division within the program of study in government and politics is offered, two members of the faculty, and two student representatives, of whom should be the President of the student Association.

ROGER AND BETTYE SINNER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Roger and Bettye Sinner have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, resident of southeastern Oklahoma.

DR. STEPHEN E. SMITH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarship for Eastern students who exhibit a need for additional funding for tuition/fees, books, room and board.

WILBUR AND LAVERNE SMITH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Established by friends and family in their memory. Maintain reasonable academic standards (2.5 GPA or better).

GENE STIPE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Friends of Gene Stipe have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, financial need.

W.H. AND JOAN SUTTON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Established by friends and family in their memory. Maintain reasonable academic standards (2.5 GPA or better).

BOB WILLIAMS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established by friends of Bob Williams. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, and financial need. Student must demonstrate good citizenship, be an asset to the college, his/her family and community.

WALTER WILLIAMS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarship for Eastern students who exhibit a need for additional funding for tuition/fees, books, room and board.

MARK WINTERS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established in honor of Mark Winters. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman, maintain reasonable academic standards.

JOHNNIE WRAY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship has been established in memory of Johnnie Wray by family and friends. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and 2.50 GPA. Must have taken or be enrolled in Speech 1113.

ANTLERS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarship for Eastern students attending Antlers campus.Awarded to students for additional funding for tuition/fees, books, room and board.

AT&T/SOUTHWESTERN BELL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Inc. has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing and 2.50 GPA.

EXXON COMPANY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Exxon Company, USA has established an endowed scholarship for a sophomore. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and 2.50 GPA.

FARRELL-COOPER MINING ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Farrell-Cooper Mining Company has established an endowed scholarship for a sophomore. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and 2.50 GPA.

FRANKLIN ELECTRIC CORPORATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Franklin Electric Corporation has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Employees, spouses and children of Franklin Electric employees.

KERR FOUNDATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - The Kerr Foundation has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing and 2.50 GPA.

KIAMICHI ELECTRIC ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Kiamichi Electric Coop, Inc. has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or Freshman standing, member of Kiamichi Electric Coop., Inc.

MCALESTER HIGHER ED ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarship for Eastern students attending McAlester campus. Awarded to students for additional funding for tuition/fees, books, room and board.

MERIT ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - Scholarship to support students with ACT score of 25 or SAT equivalent; or 3.7 GPA in graduating class.

PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF OKLAHOMA ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Public Service Company of Oklahoma has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards.

SAPPHIRE BALL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - This endowed scholarship was established to recognize a returning student that demonstrates “finding a sapphire in the rough”. Minimum qualifications for applicants: 2.5 GPA, returning EOSC student that has completed a minimum of 24 college-level credit hours, demonstrated financial need of at least $500 out-of-pocket expenses. This scholarship is to be awarded on the basis of merit with special focus on individuals of high character, leadership ability and a sense of community.

TRI-COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR'S ASSOCIATION ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - The Tri-County Administrators Association has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior from Haskell, Latimer or Pittsburg County. Student must attend a public school within Haskell, Latimer, Pittsburg County, or attend a school that is an adjoining county member district. Must have a 3.00 grade point average, participate in extracurricular activities and demonstrate leadership abilities.

VASTAR RESOURCES ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Vastar Resources, Inc. has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and 2.50 GPA.

WILBURTON STATE BANK ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Endowed scholarship established by Ken Bass, President of Wilburton State Bank, for Eastern students who exhibit a need for additional financial assistance. Minimum qualification for applicants: Freshman standing and a 2.50 GPA.

GEOGRAPHIC REQUIREMENTS

TOM & BETTY BAGWELL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established in honor of Tom & Betty Bagwell. This scholarship is to benefit a student planning to attend EOSC – Idabel site. Minimum qualifications for applicants: 2.5 GPA, freshman or transfer student in good standing with previous educational institution, preference given to students graduating from Idabel High School. Academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need will be considered in the selection process.

DR. J.N. AND HELEN BAKER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Dr. J.N. and Helen Baker have endowed a scholarship for sophomores. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.00 GPA, resident of southeastern Oklahoma.

CLARK AND WANDA BASS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Clark and Wanda Bass have endowed a scholarship for deserving students. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS senior or freshman standing, resident of Pittsburg County.

CHARLES C. COLLINS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Charles C. Collins and the Red Oak Alumni Association have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Red Oak HS Senior. Applications are available at the Principal's Office at Red Oak High School.

CHARLES W. DAVIDSON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Charles W. Davidson has endowed a scholarship for deserving students which will pay full tuition, fees, books and supplies with a monthly stipend. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior, female graduates of high schools in eastern Oklahoma. Selection of recipient will be based on need, desire, and potential of the student.

CLAUDE C. AND FLOY MAY DUNLAP ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - The children of Claude C. and Floy May Dunlap have established an endowed scholarship in memory of their parents. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.00 GPA, resident of southeastern Oklahoma.

MILDRED E. ENIS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family members and friends have established an endowed scholarship for sophomores. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.00 GPA, resident of Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, Pittsburg, Choctaw or McCurtain County.

ALECCA GAROFOLI ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family members and friends have established an endowed scholarship in memory of Alecca Garofoli. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Hartshorne High School senior with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

CLARA GAUSTAD ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Minimum qualifications for applicants: Financial need, preference given to residents of Latimer County.

DALLAS HERZER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family members and friends have established an endowed scholarship in memory of Dallas Herzer. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, resident of Pittsburg, Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, Pushmataha, Choctaw or McCurtain County.

BILL LAMBERT MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family and friends have endowed a scholarship in memory of Bill Lambert, former Eastern OK State College chemistry instructor and Talihina High School alumnus. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Senior at Talihina High School. Recipients will be selected by a committee composed of family members and Talihina High School personnel.

LESS & AGNES MITCHELL/EXXON MOBIL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Scholarships will be awarded based on financial need. Students must be incoming freshmen, preferably from the Panola or Red Oak area. Recipients may not play collegiate sports (intramural is acceptable). The recipient must be a Christian and a member of Student Ministries. Disqualification can result due to illegal activities including use and/or distribution of drugs.

LESS & AGNES MITCHELL/EXXON MOBIL ENDOWMENT - An endowed two-year scholarship which will pay for full tuition, fees, books and meal plan. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Incoming freshman from the Panola or Red Oak area possessing a minimum 3.0 GPA. Extracurricular activities and financial need will also be considered in the selection process. Recipients may not play collegiate sports (intramural is acceptable). The recipient must be a Christian and a member of Student Ministries.

PETE PRICHARD ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established in memory of Pete Prichard by Joseph N. and Kathleen A. Prichard. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Full-time student, resident of Oklahoma, financial need.

MILTON AND JOANN SMITH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established in honor of Milton and Joann Smith, longtime Hartshorne residents. Minimum qualification for applicants: Hartshorne graduate, a boy and a girl, who attend EOSC at any of the EOSC Campuses. Student must have a 3.0 grade-point average (4.0 scale), possessing strong moral character, and showing financial aid. This award is renewable $1500 annual scholarship (per student), which will be split between fall and spring semesters, for up to 4 consecutive semesters as long as the student maintains a 3.0 grade-point average and maintains “full-time” status.

WILLIAM J. WEST ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family and friends have established an endowed scholarship in memory of William J. West. Preference is to be given to a student attending Eastern who graduated from McCurtain, Oklahoma and then secondary priority to a Haskell County resident.

HOWARD YOURMAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Howard Yourman has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, resident of Latimer County and a graduate of a Latimer County High School.

CLAYTON HIGH SCHOOL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established for a Clayton, Oklahoma student. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior at Clayton, Oklahoma.

PUTERBAUGH FOUNDATION PITTSBURG COUNTY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarship for students who attend Eastern from Pittsburgh County.

HEALTH SCIENCES DIVISION - NURSING

THOMAS L. CRAWFORD, R.N. MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family and friends have endowed a scholarship in memory of Thomas L. Crawford. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.00 GPA, financial need, admission into Eastern's Nursing program.

DON C. PHELPS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established in memory of Don C. Phelps. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards and is a nursing major.

CHOCTAW NATION FACULTY CHAIR FOR NURSING ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - This scholarship was established to provide scholarships for students accepted into the registered nursing program. Nursing scholarship provided on an annual basis.

PUTERBAUGH FOUNDATION NURSING ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - This scholarship was established in 1989 through the J.G. Puterbaugh Foundation to provide scholarships for students accepted into the registered nursing program. Nursing scholarships provided on an annual basis.


LANGUAGE, HUMANITIES, and EDUCATION

DON AND DOT ADKINS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - General education scholarships will be awarded to students based on need and who are in good standing.

HELEN ALBRIGHT ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family and friends have endowed a scholarship in memory of Helen June Albright. Priority will be given to sophomore students majoring in 1) English, 2) Secondary Education and 3) Science. In addition, preference will be given to students from 1) Red Oak, 2) Panola, 3) Wilburton, and 4) Eastern’s service order.

WANDA BOHANON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Frankie Bohanon Rezabek established an endowed scholarship in memory of Wanda Bohanon for sophomores. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.50 GPA, graduate of a public high school in Oklahoma's Third Congressional District, English major.

ROSS AND MARGARET HARLAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Ross Harlan has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing and maintaining reasonable academic standards. Preference to students majoring in mass communications.

KAROLYN AND JOHN HENDRIX ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Karolyn and John Hendrix have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: General education scholarship to students based on need and who are in good academic standing.

STEVE AND LINDA HUDSON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established by Steve and Linda Hudson. Minimum qualifications for applicants – Sophomore majoring in Education with a minimum 2.5 GPA and preference given to students from Oklahoma. Academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need will be considered in the selection process. This is a renewable, two-year scholarship awarded at $1000 per year provided they maintain a 2.5 or better GPA and continue to demonstrate high character.

SENATOR BILLY MICKLE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowment has been established in honor of Senator Billy Mickle. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and maintain reasonable academic standards.

DONALD A. PARHAM ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Donald A. Parham has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Graduate of an Oklahoma High School, Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, Education major.

CHERI POTTER MEMORIAL THEATRE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established in the memory of Cheri Potter. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Returning sophomore majoring in and/or participating in Theatre Department productions and activities. Students must have participated in two previous theatrical productions. Experience may include acting in productions but preference will be given to students willing to work in technical theatre areas while at Eastern.

JAMES, SARAH AND SCOTT SALMON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - The Salmon family has established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards, Speech and Drama or Music major, resident of southeastern Oklahoma.

ALBERT SHELTON MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship has been established in memory of Albert Shelton by family and friends. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior, maintain reasonable academic standards, resident of Haskell or Latimer County. Preference to Education majors.

N. LOUISE SOUTHARD ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowment has been established in memory of N. Louise Southard. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, Education major and 3.00 GPA.

FRED AND FLORENCE STOVALL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - A scholarship has been established in memory of Fred and Florence Stovall. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA. Must be a mass communications major.

JIM D. SULLIVAN ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Lions Clubs from the 3-K District have endowed scholarships with the Wilburton Lions Club being the custodian. Minimum qualifications for applicants: 2.5 GPA, mass communications major, financial need, with preference given to residents of the 3-K Lions Club District.

SELDON TAYLOR ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Seldon and Alma Taylor have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, Education major.

GEORGE TOLBERT ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Minimum qualifications for applicants: General education scholarship to a high school senior attending Eastern. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

MATH and SCIENCE

FRANK AND GRACE MARIE CIRAR, JR. ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - The children of Frank and Grace Marie Cirar, Jr. have established an endowed scholarship in memory of their parents. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.00 GPA, resident of southeastern Oklahoma, Science major.

DEROY AND LOU FORWOODSON ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - DeRoy and Lou Forwoodson established an endowed scholarship for a deserving student. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or freshman standing, maintain reasonable academic standards. Preference to Pre-Pharmacy majors and residents of Latimer County.

RAY FUERTSCH ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Larry Youhanaian has established an endowed scholarship in honor of Ray Fuertsch. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or Freshman standing, 2.50 GPA, financial need, Science and Mathematics major.

I.C. GUNNING ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - This scholarship was established in 1984 as a renewable scholarship based on student maintaining a 3.0 or better GPA. Applicant must be a Science, Science Education or Mathematics major.

RAMON JACKSON MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established in memory of Ramon Jackson. Minimum qualifications for applicants: HS Senior or Freshman standing, maintaining reasonable academic standards. Preference to students majoring in Environmental Science, second preference to students majoring in Wildlife Conservation or Biological Science, third preference will be any field of science.

FRANKIE REZABEK ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Minimum qualifications for applicants: Graduate of an Oklahoma high school, preferably a high school in Southeastern Oklahoma i.e. Latimer or Pushmataha counties. Full-time student preferably majoring in Science Education. Second preference given to Mathematics Education majors. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible.

EDWARD G. AND CLAUDIA W. STOKES STEM ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Minimum qualifications for applicants: An Oklahoma resident, preferably a graduate from an Oklahoma high school. Full-time student majoring in Math or Science. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible. Academic Achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need will be considered in the selection process.

EVELYN WHISENHUNT GUTHERY ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Evelyn Jo Whisenhunt-Guthery has endowed a scholarship for southeastern Oklahoma mathematics/science/engineering students. Minimum qualifications for applicants: 1) must be a United States citizen and a graduate of a southeastern Oklahoma accredited public school or accredited private Christian school with a minimum 3.00 GPA. 2) Applicant must have a freshman or sophomore standing, maintain reasonable academic standards and be a mathematics or science major bound for a four-year college/university degree. 3) Mrs. Whisenhunt-Guthery’s intent is to assist a student aspiring to an engineering profession, but wouldn’t want to exclude anyone seeking a foundation in other math/science or computer science fields.

EDGAR AND JESSIE WOOD ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowment has been established by Edgar and Jessie Wood. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Panola High School graduate, preference given to Math or Science majors. Selection made by Panola Faculty.

FACULTY CHOICE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established for a sophomore. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Sophomore, 3.50 GPA, Engineering, Science or Math major, demonstrated academic ability and performance. Recipients are selected by the Math and Science faculty.


MULTIPLE DEGREES

SHIRLEY BAMBECK ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - An annual scholarship has been established in memory of Shirley Bambeck by her husband, George Bambeck. Minimum qualifications for applicants: reasonable GPA, preference will be given to a student that has an interest in library science, computer science or language arts.

DR. WILLIAM W. AND HARRIET A. BREWER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Dr. William W. and Harriet A. Brewer have endowed a scholarship for a deserving student. Minimum qualifications for applicants: 2.5 GPA. Majoring in Music, Pre Dental, Elementary Ed. or an athlete with a financial need.

DR. JAMES M. & NANCY MILLER ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Dr. James M. and Nancy Miller have established an endowed scholarship. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing, 3.00 GPA, Business or Liberal Arts majors (one male and one female).

LARRY AND ANN OWENS ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Scholarships will be awarded to Eastern students from the Latimer County and Pittsburg County areas. Majors should include Nursing, Computer Science, Math, Science and Business Administration.

DAVID JOE THOMAS MEMORIAL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - Family and friends have established an endowed scholarship in memory of David Joe Thomas. Minimum qualifications for applicants: Freshman standing and 2.80 GPA. Participation in one of the following organizations: Athletics, Judging Teams, Theater, Debate, Music, Mass Communications, and Yearbook.

DR. JANET AND GARY WANSICK ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - An endowed scholarship has been established by Dr. Janet and Gary Wansick. Minimum qualifications for applicants: sophomore student (32 or more hours) majoring in Criminal Justice or Mathematics who attend any of the EOSC campuses. Students must have a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average. Academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need will be considered in selection process.

BP AMERICA ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - Minimum qualifications for applicants: Must be a resident of Latimer, Leflore, Haskell, Pittsburg or Sequoyah counties; GPA of 3.2 or higher; major in Energy, Science, Math, Education, Nursing, Business, Child Development, Agriculture (Pre-Vet), Environmental Science.

EOSC ALUMNI ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP - This scholarship established by the EOSC Alumni Board and EOSC Development Foundation. Recipients shall be male or female students; preferably full-time sophomores which are in good standing. Each student must be a child of an EOSC alumnus.
