14th Ranked Mountaineers Top Grayson
The 14th ranked Eastern Oklahoma State
College baseball team returned to their winning ways by downing Grayson
County College on Tuesday. With
the 7-5 victory, the Mountaineers improved their season record to 23-13. Joe
Noyes, Derek Edwards and Carey Crain split the nine innings on the mound. The
three pitchers combined to allow just two earned runs, while striking
out 14 and walking just one. Noyes picked up his fifth win of the
year and Crain picked up his second save. Offensively, Tyler Fulps
led the 11 hit charge. Fulps went 2-2 with a triple, two hit by
pitches, scored a run and drove in three. Justin Mitchell and Ryan
Davis had two hits a piece. Eight of the nine Mountaineer starters
had a hit.
The Mountaineers will take the field again
Saturday April 15th at 1:00 pm. They will play host to Seminole
State College in a Bi-State Conference double header.
