Mountaineers Season Comes to an End

The Eastern Oklahoma State College baseball team ended their season in the Bi-State Conference Tournament.  The Mountaineers opened up Thursday’s Tournament in Bartlesville with a 5-4 loss to University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.  After defeating Rose State on Friday 4-0, Eastern suffered its second defeat 7-2 to eventual Tournament Champion Connors State College.  The Mountaineers finished the season with an overall record of 30-23.

Blake King and Ryan Davis were both named to the All Tournament Team.  King, a freshman pitcher from Bishop Kelley High School, tossed a complete game shut out against Rose State.  He allowed just two hits while striking out 15.  Davis, a freshman third baseman from Edmond North High School, went 5-12 (.417 batting average) in three games.  Davis was also hit by pitches twice and scored three runs.
