Mountaineers Split With Richland

After winning game one by a score of 8-5, the Eastern Oklahoma State College baseball team (20-6) rally in game two came up just short 12-13.

In game one, Gunner Glad (3-2) picked up the win on the mound.  In five innings of work, he allowed just four hits and two runs.  Levi Rhoades came on in the 7th inning to pick up his team high 7th save of the season.  Offensively, the Mountaineers pounded out 13 hits.  Carey Crain and Josh Rorex hit home runs in their 2nd consecutive game.  Dearth Parker 2-4, Crain 3-4, Steve Irvine 2-4 and Kyle Price 2-4 each had multiple hits for Eastern.

Despite 22 hits (season high) and 12 runs, Eastern dropped game two 13-12.  Chad Price led the offensive attack by going 6-6 with two home runs and five RBI’s.  Gunner Glad went 5-6 with two doubles and three runs scored.  Kyle Price went 3-5 with his first home run of the year and three runs scored.  Ryan Davis and Carey Crain each had two hits.  Levi Rhoades (3-2) took the loss in relief.
