Mountaineers Pick Up Another Two Wins

Despite the cold conditions, the Eastern Oklahoma State College baseball teams picked up two wins on Tuesday at Richland College.  The Mountaineers (4-2) won by scores of 6-4 and 12-2.

In game one, Gunner Glad was the offensive and defensive star for the Mountaineers.  On the mound Glad (1-0) picked up his first win in four innings of work.  He struck out four while allowing just one run.  Offensively, he went 2-4 with a double, 2 runs scored and a RBI.

In the nightcap, freshman pitcher Ben Hayes (1-0) picked up his first collegiate win.  Hayes tossed four scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and striking out five.  Offensively the Mountaineers were led by Gunner Glad (2-4), Ryan Davis (2-3) and Logan Schamburg (2-3).  Schamburg, a freshman catcher, also had his first career home run.
