Track Athletes Qualify for National Meet

Two of Eastern Oklahoma State Track athletes have qualified to enter the NJCAA National meet to be held at Texas Tech University on March 2nd and 3rd.

Edward Johnson of Broken Bow re-wrote his school record in the 60 meter dash once again.  Johnson qualified with a new time of 6.89.  The qualifying time standard is 6.92.

Brandon Rich of Okmulgee also qualified in the 600 yard run with a good time of 1:15.59.  He had to meet the qualifying mark of 1:16.28.

Eastern’s mile relay team has a very good chance of qualifying for Nationals this weekend.  Eastern will be traveling to Oklahoma University for the Oklahoma Christian Last Chance Meet.  Warmer weather will be very beneficial in preparing for Eastern’s last indoor meet of the season.
