Nine Mountaineers Receive All-Conference Honors
The 15th ranked Eastern Oklahoma
State College baseball team received some post-season honors
Monday afternoon. The team finished
as regular season Co-Champions of the Bi-State Conference and nine
players received individual honors.
1st Team – All Conference
Nate Pettus – 1B – .348, 16 doubles, 17 home runs,
42 runs & 67 RBI’s
Gunner Glad – 2B - .351, 13 doubles, 18 home runs, 58 runs,
52 RBI’s & 17 stolen bases
Steve Irvine – 3B - .388, 19 doubles, 9 home runs, 62 runs,
37 RBI’s, 34 walks & 29 stolen bases
2nd Team – All Conference
Chance Deason – P – (8-2), 71 innings, 58 hits, 67
strike outs, .217 opponent batting average
Casey Gibson – OF - .429, 21 doubled, 9 triples, 5 home runs,
54 runs, 50 RBI’s & 18 stolen bases
Honorable Mention – All Conference
Jeff Scardino – P - (2-1), 28.1 innings, 19 hits, 30 strike
outs, .183 opponent batting average
Ashton Mowdy – P – (5-3), 69.1 innings, 59 hits, 73
strike outs, .221 opponent batting average
Dearth Parker – SS - .307, 11 doubles, 6 home runs, 49 runs,
36 RBI’s & 20 stolen bases
Blake Mounce 0 OF - .368, 11 doubles, 8 home runs, 31 runs, 39
