EASTERN TO HOST 36TH ANNUAL KIAMICHI CLASSIC

A year of dedication, hard work and outstanding play will be recognized for athletes at the annual Kiamichi All-Star Classic on the campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College on May 23-24, 2008.

Players from southeastern Oklahoma will square off on the Wilburton campus to showcase their skills in softball, baseball, and basketball.

Thousands of young people have displayed their athletic skills for the final time in a high school setting during this classic, which started in 1973. It was the brain-child of then basketball and baseball coach Don Brown. Some of the notables to play in the games through the years were Reba McEntire and Bryant “Big Country” Reeves.
