Mountaineers VS Northern (Tonkawa)
Jan. 12th, 2009

The men and women of Eastern Oklahoma State College faced off January 12th against Northern Oklahoma College. The Lady Mountaineers came in with a record of 5-11. The first half of the women’s game was very close. The first half scores were Eastern 27 Northern 30. During the second half Eastern outscored Northern 45 to 32 with a final score of Eastern 72 Northern 62.

Kelli Adams scored 28 points to finish the game for Eastern. Shantoya Fisher had 18 to finish for Eastern. Korie Hargus had 15 to finish for Northern followed by Bethany McBride with 11.

The Mountaineers came into the game with a 3-6 record. Northern took control of the first half early. At the end of the half Northern outscored Eastern 25 to 14. During the second half Eastern, in a loosing effort put up a good fight. The second half score was only a two point difference. The final scores were Eastern 42 Northern 55.

Ronnie Hishaw had 12 points to end the game for Eastern. Ben Pelly of Eastern had 11.
Sam Bartlett of Northern had 16 points followed by Geoff McIntosh with 12.
