Mountaineers Drop Two Games against Navarro

GenaoThe Eastern baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Navarro College on Saturday.  Navarro won game one 6-3 and game two 7-1.

In the first game, Navarro scored their first run in the bottom of the first inning.  Trailing 1-0 in the top of the 3rd inning, Eastern scored two runs and took the lead.  Joe Spring led off the inning with a single and then Curtis Coyle walked.

Eastern Ranked 23rd in First Regular Season NJCAA Poll

On Wednesday the NJCAA released their first regular season baseball poll.  Off to a 9-3 start, Eastern was rewarded by being ranked 23rd.  The Mountaineers have played seven ranked teams in their first 10 games of the season.

Eastern Takes Two from 18th Ranked Cowley County

CowleyOn Sunday, the Eastern Oklahoma State College baseball team improved to 9-3 this season with a doubleheader sweep of Cowley County Community College.  The Mountaineers won the first game 2-1 and the second game 4-2.  Cowley County entered the game ranked 18th by the NJCAA.
