Eastern OK State College signs No. 1 player in the country

The 2012 recruiting class at Eastern Oklahoma State College made headlines Monday, June 27 when the Wilburton college baseball team signed the No. 1 high school player in the country, Dylan Bundy. Bundy joins a Mountaineer signing class that includes three other Major League Baseball Draft choices.

Eastern Oklahoma State College head coach takes OU position

After seven seasons at the helm of the Eastern Oklahoma State College Mountaineer baseball team, Head Coach Aric Thomas will be returning to Norman when he joins the coaching staff at the University of Oklahoma. The university announced July 9 that Thomas, who spent 11 seasons as a Sooner player and coach, will take over as the OU hitting coach.

Eastern Mountaineers Region 2 Champions

By defeating Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College 7-6 on Sunday, the Eastern Baseball Team won the Region 2 Championship for the second straight year. That is the first time that has been done in school history. Over the last two years the Mountaineers are a combined 9-1 in Region 2 Tournament play.

Eastern Eliminates Connors – Playing NEO for Region 2 Championship

King For the second day in a row, the Eastern baseball team defeated Connors by a score of 7-4 eliminating Connors from the Region 2 Tournament. Earlier in the day, Connors eliminated Seminole by a score of 4-3 and NEO eliminated Rose State 1-0. Eastern advanced to Sunday's Region 2 Championship game with their win Saturday night. They will play NEO at 1:00 pm. If the Mountaineers win the 1:00 pm game, they are the Region 2 Champions. If NEO wins the 1:00 pm game, the two teams will square off in a winner take all championship game at 4:00 pm.
