The Eastern Oklahoma State College men’s basketball team moves to 3-0 on the season with a 95-82 win over Independence Community College on Monday night. Sophomore Marcus Tarrance (pictured) led the 12th ranked Mountaineers with 29 points. Sophomore Billy Rowland finished with 15 points. Next up, the Mountaineers take on North Arkansas College Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Wilburton. The Lady Mountaineers play at 5:30 p.m. |

WILBURTON, OK (Nov. 2, 2011) – Eastern Oklahoma State College opened the basketball season with two home wins against Rhema Bible College on Tuesday night.
The Rhema Eagles were no match for the No. 12 ranked Mountaineers as Eastern opened the season with a 92-67 win. Sophomores Bobby Jones and Billy Rowland both finished with 24 points and seven rebounds each. Freshman Joe Ebondo pulled down 10 rebounds.

Eastern Mountaineers ranked No. 12 nationally in preseason basketball poll
WILBURTON, OK (Oct. 25, 2011) – The Eastern Oklahoma State College men’s basketball team has earned a No. 12 ranking in the 2011-12 NJCAA Preseason Top 20 National Poll.
“This is just a blessing for us,” said second-year coach Scott Edgar. “It’s a credit to the talent of our players, the commitment of Eastern’s leadership, the quality of our faculty and staff, as well as the support of our community.”
