The Eastern Lady Mountaineers Softball team upped their record to 4-0 with a pair of wins Tuesday at Texarkana, 4-0 and 7-0.

Marge Johnson threw her second no-hit shutout in the first game and Karla Pittman shutout the Lady Bulldogs 7-0 in the nightcap. Johnson struck out 14 batters once again while walking only four and Pittman struckout eight with three walks.

Amy Tice led the offense going 3 for 4 with three walks on the day. Laney Anderson continued her average hitting safely four out of eight at bats to remain at .500 on the young season. Rhonda McClung went 3 for 6 with a triple. Marge Johnson was 3 for 7 went a two run homerun. Jaclyn Mullaney went 2 for 6 with a double. Lesley Boyd went 2 for 8 and Ashley Graham 2 for 7.

Next up for Eastern softball will be Bossier Parrish, LA and Cowley County, KS, both perennial powers along with Ranger, TX in pool play in the Broderick Cowtown Classic this weekend.

First home game is February 26th at 1:00 against Crowder College and February 28th at 1:00 against Texarkana.
