Coach Andy Mace

Andy Mace has assumed the head coaching duties for Lady Mountaineer
Basketball for the third time and 17th season. The last time Coach Mace
coached women's basketball at Eastern was 1998 when the Lady
Mountaineers were 23-8, and were Co-Champions of the Bi-State
Conference, with a 9-1 record. Mace coached high school girl's
basketball at Liberty-Mounds, Bethel, Holdenville, Sand Springs, and
Hughes Springs, Texas, with a 95-31 overall record. Coach Mace has a
322-155 overall college record with women's basketball, all at Eastern.
His best overall Eastern season was 1983 when the Lady Mountaineers were
29-7, Oklahoma Junior College State Champions, Region II Champions, and
had a top eight finish in the NJCAA National Tournament at Senatobia,
Mississippi. Coach Mace was State and Region II coach of the year in
1983. Mace's 1981 Lady Mountaineer team was ranked NO. I in the country
in a January NJCAA poll. In the 16 years that Coach Mace guided the

Region II Tournament. His 322 wins places him near the top of all NJCAA
women's basketball coaches.
