Those are the words of the Eastern women’s assistant basketball coach, Anita Hernandez. Anita was born in Antlers, where she grew up in a loving home that was also very tough and disciplined at times. Her family’s number one priority, however, was education.

Mountaineers Victorious Over
Murray State

The Mountaineers and Lady Mountaineers were victorious over Murray State last night.  The women won 73-68 and improved on their two game winning streak with a record of 9-10, led by freshman Shaqualla Alexander of Wewoka with 23 points.
