Native American-Serving Nontribal Institutions

(NASNTI)

“Creating Pathways” Project

What is NASNTI?

The Native American-Serving Nontribal Institutions (NASNTI) program is a Title III grant program funded by the U.S. Department of Education.  The purpose of Title III is to enable institutions of higher education to improve their academic quality, increase their self sufficiency and strengthen their capacity to serve students.

In October 2010, Eastern Oklahoma State College was awarded a nearly $2 million grant to implement the “Creating Pathways for Native American and Low Income Student Success” project. The project has three goal areas that will be fully achieved over a five year period. The goal areas are:

  1. To increase access to high-demand degree programs through distance delivery technologies
  2. To increase student success by providing online student support services
  3. To increase Native American success through a Native American Engagement Center

This webpage will be updated frequently as the project progresses.
