Dr. Stephen E. Smith, President

Welcome to Eastern Oklahoma State College!  A college that is rich in tradition that is on the verge of celebrating its first 100 years.  It is my honor to lead such a wonderful institution into its next century.

Academically, the statistics show that Eastern is one of the best two-year institutions in Oklahoma.  We compete well both academically and athletically with all rural and urban two-year colleges. We are proud to own one of the highest transfer rates of all two-year public institutions. Eastern participates in the state-wide course equivalency project.  The courses you take at Eastern will transfer to other state colleges and universities.  

Eastern is proud of our students.  Over the years, Eastern has produced some of the best leaders in the state with alums such as former president of Eastern and Chancellor of Higher Education E.T. Dunlap, Governor George Nigh, and current State Supreme Court Justice, Tom Colbert.  When you choose this college, you are truly choosing success. 

Eastern is proud to hold rank to one of the highest Native American student populations in public Oklahoma colleges.  We receive a tremendous amount of support from the Choctaw Nation to not only educate Native American students, but all of our student population. 

Lastly, Eastern would not be successful without our tremendous faculty and staff.  We are an institution that cares about making a difference in the lives of both traditional and non-traditional students.  It is our goal to provide a safe, friendly environment so our students can focus on their academic success.  When you think of pursuing your dreams, think of Eastern Oklahoma State College.
