Julian J. Rothbaum
Distinguished Lectureship
in Public Affairs
The purpose of the Julian
J. Rothbaum Distinguished Lectureship is to enhance the ability
of Eastern Oklahoma State College to bring to the campus recognized
authorities to address issues of public affairs at the national,
state or local level. Mr. Rothbaum endowed this lectureship with
a gift of $25,000 which was matched by funds provided by the Oklahoma
State Regents for Higher Education.
Mr. Rothbaum, a longtime oil
man, banker, lawyer, philanthropist and former member of the Oklahoma
State Regents for Higher Education, was born and raised in Pittsburg
County, Oklahoma. He is one of the most outstanding advocates
for higher education and has long been an integral part of the
political process and public affairs.
