EOSC Music Department Fall Concert

Eastern Oklahoma State College's Music Department is pleased to announce the annual Fall Concert, to be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, October 2nd in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton campus. The hour long concert will feature Eastern's Concert Choir and Sound Sensations.

The choral program will include Sing Ye Merrily, written in Renaissance style; Gloria in Excelsis Deo, by Vivaldi; Sanctus, by Mozart; How Lovely are the Messengers, by Mendelssohn; The Majesty and Glory of Your Name, by Tom Fettke; Ain't A That Good News, arranged by Steven Porter; Give Me Your tired, Your Poor, a new arrangement by Jay Rouse and a new arrangement of Danny Boy.

The Sound Sensations will be performing much of their 2003-2004 Tour Show, which included Dancin in the Aisles, Angels Watchin Over Me, Choo Choo Ch' Boogie, from the 1940's, The Theme from Scooby Doo and Arms Around the World.

"On behalf of the Eastern Music Department, I wish to extend this special invitation to everyone in our area to join us in this evening of entertainment by our student musicians," said Music Department Chairperson Paul Enis. "Come and support our students as they present what they've worked so diligently to produce for you."

Student participants include: Derek Earthman from Antlers; Daniel Vogt, Checotah, Stacy Proe, Crowder; Leslie Hynds, Emily Johnson, Lacey Johnson, Rachel Johnson, Seth Johnson, Kim Pope and Bianca Walker all from Hartshorne; Laura Hunter, Kiowa; Jesse Bruesch, Heavener; Jordan Bernhardt, McAlester; Vanessa Tillery, Panola; Mark Atteberry, Savanna; Krista Brown and Michelle Thomas from Talihina and Stephen Brinlee, Rachel Cole, Clark Conner, Brent Darley and Megan Gilbert all from Wilburton.

The Choir and Sound Sensations are co-directed by Paul Enis and Mary Ford with Ford accompanying and Enis conducting.

"We would like to take this opportunity to extend a special invitation to the citizens of Wilburton and all of the surrounding communities to come and join us," added Enis. "As always, admission is free."
