EASTERN'S BUSINESS CLUB INSTALLS OFFICERS AND MEMBERS

Officer and member installation for the Lambda Lambda chapter of Phi Beta Lambda were held recently in the ballroom at Eastern Oklahoma State College. Eastern's President Dr. William J. Campion showed his appreciation and countenance for PBL in his welcome speech. Business Division Chairperson Kay Langham complimented the new members on their dedication to a prominent business-related organization. PBL President Kyle Rust carried out the duty of master of ceremony. The installation ceremony was conducted by Lance Cogburn. Lance is an Eastern graduate who is currently studying at Oklahoma State University and is the state chapter four-year Vice President.

The Lambda Lambda 2003-2004 officers are President Kyle Rust, Haileyville; Vice President Ashley Smallwood, Haileyville; Secretary Dawn Wallis, Wilburton; Treasurer Jared Sharp, Wilburton; Reporter Casey Jiles, Wilburton; Parliamentarian Dennis Craig, Stigler; Historian Lindy Morgan, Wilburton; Student Senate Representative Jeremy Pebley, Wilburton; and Alternate Student Senate Representative Tommy Gonzales, Wilburton. Installed members were Bobbie Beaird, Crowder; Amber Hubler, Quinton; Jackie Jo Caughern, Leflore; Christinna Campbell, McAlester; Jennifer Marsden, Hartshorne; Dru Campbell, McAlester; Laura Butler, Stigler; Belinda Keith, Stigler; Candice Stewart, Kiefer; Erin Lake, Calera; and Chris Van Horn, McAlester.

PBL co-advisors are Harold Bogard, Estella Bennett-Mask, and Linda Morgan. Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc., is a national student vocational education association that prepares students for careers in business and business education. Membership is over 260,000. There are over 11,000 chapters across the United States and abroad. Future Business Leaders of America is the middle and high school division; Phi Beta Lambda is the post-secondary division.
