Theatre Eastern Presents "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"

Love makes the world go 'round, and it certainly adds to the fun, in SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, Eastern's spring musical, April 29 & 30, in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton campus. Show times are 10 a.m. Thursday and 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Featured in the cast are Beth Fields, Wister,sophomore, playing "Milly" and Daniel Vogt, Checotah freshman, playing her unconventional husband, "Adam." The rowdy brothers are: "Benjamin," Mark Atteberry, Savannah sophomore; "Caleb," Clark Conner, Wilburton sophomore; "Daniel," Jordan Bernhardt, McAlester sophomore; "Ephraim," Mike Battiest, Idabel sophomore; "Frank," Cody Henry, Antlers freshman, and "Gideon," Jesse Daniel Bruesch, Heavener freshman.

The brides are: Rachael McClure, Tupelo freshman; Lauren Helmke, Nashoba sophomore; Ashley Wallis, Buffalo Valley sophomore; Megan Gilbert, Wilburton freshman; Rachel Johnson, Gowen freshman; and Vanessa Miller, Haileyville freshman.

Rivals for the girls' affections include: Timmy Clemmetsen, Atoka freshman; Ryan Sliger, McAlester freshman; Chester Schach, Hartshorne freshman; Erik Harris, Hartshorne freshman; and Richard Allen, Oleta freshman.

Others in the cast include students Lucy Moore, Kiowa freshman; Vanessa Tillery, Panola freshman; and Dawn Wallis, Pittsburg freshman.

Eastern instructors playing "cameo" roles are: Les Brelsford, Brenton Duncan, Todd Minshall, and Viki Vogt. Choreography is by Dottie Minshall who thrilled last year's audiences as "Mrs. Anna" in THE KING AND I.

Directed by Ruth Askew Brelsford, with musical direction by Paul Enis and Mary Ford, this ever-popular romantic comedy promises a romping-good time. The show is produced courtesy of Music Theatre International and features costumes by Billie Boston, Oklahoma City University.
