Area Will Be "ZAPPED" By Zany Arts Players
(Press Release 4-16-04) Hank Mooney, Office of Public Information Theatre Eastern and the Latimer County Arts Council will present the Zany Arts Players (ZAP), Tuesday, April 27, at 10 a.m. in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College. The fun-filled performance is free and open to the public. ZAP performs plays based on stories from around the world. The three characters are simpletons: people who don't quite "get it," but are having a lot of fun trying! Costumes and make-up are bold and clown-like. The trio, Joe Long, Doobie Potter, and Rhonda Clark, hail from the Oklahoma City area and are brought to Wilburton with assistance from the Oklahoma Arts Council. Though popular with all age groups, Z.A.P. is geared especially for elementary ages and will also perform at Wilburton Elementary at 1 p.m. on the 27th. For more information, call Ruth Askew Brelsford, 918-465-2361 x 216. ![]() |
