Check For "White House" Renovation
(Press Release 8-27-04) Hank Mooney, Office of Public Information Chief of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Greg Pyle, center, presented a $50,000 check from the Choctaw Nation to Eastern Oklahoma State College President Dr. Richard Bernard. The funds, collected during the Choctaw Celebrity Waiter night, will be used by the college to renovate the White House: Eastern's Alumni and Guest Center. Bernard said he admired the dedication of the Choctaw nation and their generosity. “Eastern truly appreciates the vision and foresight of the Choctaw Nation and their continuing support of higher education,” Bernard said. Also present for a tour of the center on Thursday were Choctaw District 6 Councilman Joe Coley, left, Eastern Athletic Director and Special Assistant to the President for Alumni Affairs Jerry Smith and Eastern Physical Plant Director Rudy O'Donley.
