Team Takes Reserve Champion Honors In Houston
(Press Release 3-26-04) Hank Mooney, Office of Public Information The Eastern Oklahoma State College Livestock Judging team captured Reserve Champion Honors last week (March 16) at the Houston Intercollegiate Livestock Judging Contest and Rodeo. The Wilburton college team also placed 1st overall in beef judging and 4th overall in sheep judging as well as garnering numerous individual awards at the national competition. Team members include from left: Coach Brad Groves; Cody Pearce from Quinton who won 4th place overall individual in the Alternate Contest; Cody Martin, Panama; Jeremy Huff, Mena, AR; Chase Groves, Garland, AR, 9th Swine Judging, 4th Beef Cattle, 4th overall; Tyler Dewey, Poteau, 10th Beef Cattle, 9th overall; Chase Hilton, Mena, AR and Coach Ray Rice. ![]() |
