Oklahoma Higher Ed. Chancellor Visits Wilburton College

McAlester Mayor and Eastern Oklahoma State College Regent Chairperson Dale Covington, center, visited with Oklahoma Higher Education Chancellor Paul G. Risser and Eastern President Dr. Richard Bernard today (Friday) during roundtable luncheon discussions with members of the Wilburton college's administration, faculty and student leaders.

Eastern Regent Ken Bass, Wilburton, and Regent Mark Jordan, McAlester, were also on hand for the visit. Chancellor Risser outlined Oklahoma Higher Regents plans for increasing the number of graduates and improving retention at colleges and universities across the state. He also said that the campus of Eastern is one of the most beautiful in the state and that his impression of a caring faculty and capable administration is reaffirmed every time he visits. "Eastern's new president does a terrific job and he represents Eastern and the entire Higher Education system very well," he said.
