Nearly 50 middle school students from nine area schools competed Saturday during the annual Southeast Regional Mathcounts competition held on the Wilburton campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College.

Students capturing top 10 individual honors included from back left: Dylan Loggins in 10th place from Spiro Middle School followed by Samantha Madewell, 9th place, Pansy Kidd Middle School, Poteau; Mark Culwell, 8th place, McCurtain Public School; Wesleigh Mendenhall, Stilwell Middle School and Harrison Moosavi, 6th place, Savanna Middle School.
