Wilburton Lions Club Administrative Treasure and District 3 K Jim Sullivan Memorial Scholarship Trustee Hank Mooney, left center, presented the final check from District 3 K trust funds to Eastern Oklahoma State College President Dr. Richard Bernard, center, to endow the Jim Sullivan Scholarship within the Eastern Development Foundation during the Wilburton Lions Club meeting last week. District 3 K Lions from all over southeastern Oklahoma have now endowed more than $12,000 within the foundation to be used as Journalism scholarships at the Wilburton college. Under the agreement with the Foundation only the interest from the principal amount may be used for scholarships each year.  Eastern Development Director Maynard Phillips, right center, Wilburton Lions Club Activities Treasurer John Shero, left, and Lions Club President Del Allen, right, also attended the presentation.
