Cliffton Hill was presented the Outstanding Division Graduate Award from the Division of Business by Chairperson Kay Langham during commencement exercises Friday (May 6) on the Wilburton campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College. One graduate from each of the six divisions of the college is selected each year for the honor. During commencement, five other students were named as Outstanding Divisional Graduates including: Erik Harris, Language and Education; Carolyn Wigington, Wilburton, Nursing; Jerrod Lundry, Haworth, Agriculture; Daniel Vogt, Checota, Social Science and Music; Mandy Skimbo, Wilburton, Science and Mathematics. He is a graduate of Tushka High School where he was salutatorian of his class. Hill graduated in the top 10 percent of his class at Eastern where he was an active member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society, Fellowship of Christian Athletics and participated in numerous campus and community service activities.

Hill was also an active member of Phi Beta Lambda business club where he won 5th place in Accounting Principals at the 2004 PBL State competition, received the Sophomore Outstanding Accounting Award and the Sophomore Outstanding Business Administration Award and the Outstanding Economic Outstanding Accounting Award. He was selected to Who’s Who Among American Junior Colleges while at Eastern and was on the President’s and Dean’s Honor Rolls. He also received the Business Administration Departmental Scholarship, Athletic Department Scholarship and the Kensal and Dorothy Lee Tucker Scholarship. He is enrolled at Oklahoma State University for the fall as a Business administration, Accounting Option major. He is the son of Denise Hill and Darrin Begley.
