On Wednesday, September 14, 2005, the Enrollment Management Office hosted a Counselors Only Workshop in the Fieldhouse on the Wilburton Campus with 34 area counselors in attendance.

High schools represented include:

Hugo, Poteau, Eufaula, Canadian, McAlester, Warner, Red Oak, Crowder, Idabel, Midway, Boswell, Wilburton, Quinton, Wister, Porum, McCurtain, Wright City, Broken Bow, Haworth, Cameron, Stigler, Leflore, Rattan, Savanna, Pittsburg, Spiro, Clayton, Haileyville, and Antlers.

This annual event provides the opportunity for counselors to gather information from colleges and universities throughout the state of Oklahoma and Arkansas. This is sponsored by Eastern Oklahoma State College, the Oklahoma College Day/Night Coordination Committee, and the Oklahoma Student Loan Authority.

Eastern will also host the Pittsburg and Latimer County College Fair for area high school seniors and juniors on September 29, 2005, from 9-11 a.m. in the Fieldhouse. Representatives from colleges, universities, the military, and lending institutions will be available to help area students with opportunities for their futures.
