Goat Showing
Workshop Helps Area Students

Abby Rosales from Panola FFA joined more
than 50 other Latimer county 4-H and FFA students who attended a Goat
Showing Workshop on Saturday, August 19th, hosted by Eastern Oklahoma
State College in Wilburton. The workshop was funded in part by an Oklahoma
4-H enhancement grant and was also sponsored by the Latimer County Extension
office, Red Man Supply, Big Mac, National Oilwell, T&D Feed Store
and Essential Show Feeds. The students learned about basic grooming,
animal health, feeds and feeding techniques as well as ethics and correct
methods of showmanship.
