Music Department To Present
Spring Concert Eastern’s Music Department is announcing the annual Spring Concert, to be held Tuesday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m., in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton campus. Eastern’s Band, Concert Choir and Sound Sensations presenting an hour-long concert. "We take this opportunity to extend a special invitation to the citizens of Wilburton and all surrounding communities to come and join us in this evening of entertainment by our student musicians," Music Instructor Paul Enis said. "As always, admission is free." The choral program will include popular selections from six broadway musicals, along with three other various pieces. The Sound Sensations will be performing an arrangement of Dancin' on the Ceiling, by Lionel Ritchie; Mountain Music, made popular by Alabama and 100 Years. The Band will be performing several numbers made popular by Santana, along with a variety of other pieces. Student participants are: Wesley Snead of Atoka; Marli Westbrook of Broken Bow; Justin Crook of Crowder; Catlin Ahtone, Lacey Johnson, and Jonathan Underwood of Hartshorne; Analeah Rothmire of Hennessey; Yuri Ichiba Japan; Julia Murphy and Joe Riddle of McAlester; Adam Hoag, Crystal Needham, and Adam Rainwater of Quinton; Kevin Moncrief of Stigler; with Veronica Allen, Mandy Atkinson, Brittney Beauchamp, Kyle Bristow, Ashley Holsten, Mike Ivey, Lauren Kelly, Krista Kendrick, Kyle Littlejohn, Autumn O’Hair, Mark Ward, Kyle Williams and Amanda Wingo-Ralls all of Wilburton The Choir and Sound Sensations are co-directed by Enis and Mary Ford, with Ford accompanying and Enis conducting.
