Former Savanna Students Sign To Run For Eastern

Eastern Oklahoma State College Athletic Director Win Case, right, welcomes returning sophomores Brad Watkins and Katie Blankenship, both from Savanna, to the Wilburton school's new track program. The "walk on" track program is returning in August after an absence of more than 16 years. Watkins ran track for Savanna High School and while there was a state qualifier in the 1600 meter run, the 3200 meter run and the 3200 meter relay and he was named Outstanding Track Athlete two years. Blankenship, also ran for Savanna where she qualified for state in the two mile relay and was named Outstanding Track Athlete for three years.
