More than 100 students at Eastern Oklahoma
State College received endowment scholarships through the Eastern
Oklahoma State College
Development Foundation recently at an awards assembly in the Student
Union Ballroom on the Wilburton campus. Many of the students were those
who had applied for the scholarships in early March and will be incoming
freshman when classes begin next fall.

Jayme Reager |
| Jayme Reager from Wilburton
was presented with the Joe and Brenda Coy Scholarship by Kay Langham.
Reager will be a freshman majoring in liberal arts and wants to
continue
her education at Oklahoma State University. She is the daughter of
Robert and Lehann Reager. Reager graduated from Wilburton High School
and was active in cheerleading, yearbook, 4-H, track, speech and was an
All American Cheerleader. |

| Alisha Carter from Keys was
presented with the Karolyn and John Hendrix Scholarship by Kay
Langham.
Carter is a freshman majoring in nursing and wants to attend
Northeastern State University for her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
She is the daughter of David and Rebecca Carter. Carter graduated from
Keys High School and was active in 4-H Club, FFA, Beta Club, choir,
yearbook, science club, academic team and teacher’s aide. |

| Cody Brown from Whitesboro
was presented with the Karolyn and John Hendrix Scholarship by
Viki Vogt.
Brown is a freshman majoring in nursing and plans to work at the Choctaw
Hospital in Talihina as a Registered Nurse. He would also like to raise
cattle. Brown is the son of Jack Brown. He graduated from Whitesboro
High School and was active in FFA, basketball, baseball, class officer,
land judging, CASC Educational Talent Search, church youth group and
Eastern Aggie Club. |

Davis is a freshman majoring in agriculture economics and would like to
work for the USDA. She is the daughter of John Davis. Davis graduated
from Wellston High School and was active in FFA, land judging, livestock
judging, speech, SADD, Roots and Shoots, academic team, FCA, Aggie Club,
NHS and student council. |

Gray
is a freshman majoring in radiography and plans to become an x-ray
technician. She is the daughter of Lesa Price and Leon Gray. Gray
graduated from Panola High School and was active in basketball,
softball, FFA, FCCLA, yearbook and class officer. |

Kerr Foundation Scholarship by Bill Albright. Knight will be a
freshman majoring in agriculture science and would like to have
a job relating to human nutrition. Knight is the son or Eric and
Kelli Knight. He graduated from LeFlore High School and was active
in FFA, FCA, Show Team Member, softball, basketball, FCCLA, Oklahoma
Honor Society, Who’s Who Among American High School Students,
class officer, student council, academic team, newspaper editor
and yearbook staff. |

Torix
will be a freshman majoring in environmental science and continue is
education at Oklahoma State University to get his bachelor’s degree and
work in wildlife management or the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife
Conservation. He is the son of Terry and Lisa Torix. Torix graduated
from Checotah High School and was active in FFA and baseball. |

was presented with the Kiamichi Electric Corporation Scholarship
by Bill
Albright. Tubbs will be a freshman majoring in agriculture economics,
business administration or psychology. She would like to work with
troubled youth utilizing equine therapy. She is the daughter of Joseph
Randy and Brenda Tubbs. Tubbs graduated from A Beka Academy and was
active in the 4-H, Girl Scouts, Wiburton Roundup Club, AWANA Youth and
Quinton Baptist Church. |

Business Professionals of America, Technology Students Association, FFA

Woodruff. Freeman will be a freshman majoring in elementary education
from Eastern and then go to Northeastern State University for

bachelor’s degree. She is the daughter of Ray and Tracey Freeman.
Freeman graduated from Heavener High School and was active in FFA,
Business Professionals of America, basketball and National Honor

Wilburton was presented the Latimer County Home and Community Education
OHCE Scholarship by Karin Woodruff. Beauchamp is a freshman majoring in
nursing and will get her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Northeastern
State University. She is the daughter of Larry Gene Beauchamp.
Beauchamp graduated from Wilburton High School. She is active in choir,
band, tutoring and the Baptist Student Union. |

transfer to Oklahoma State University for a Bachelor’s Degree in Meat
Science, then on to pursue his PhD at the University of Arkansas. He is
the son of Eric Lee and Victoria Coffman. Coffman graduated from Ola
High School and was active in FFA, State Farm Degree, Chapter Star
Farmer, Chapter Star Greenhand, Yell County Teen Leaders, Arkansas Jr.
Hereford Association, 4-H Club, Yell County Cattlemans Association and
Arkansas Junior Sheep Association. |
