
State Regents Partnership
Program Recognizes Two Eastern Students Eastern Oklahoma State College and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education recognized two students who have received special scholarships through the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Partnership Recognition Program. Aimee Gilbert is a sophomore nursing major from Clayton at the Wilburton community college who is employed in the nurse extern program at McAlester Regional Hospital. Casi Dennis is a sophomore pre-med major also from Clayton who is employed through the Choctaw Nation Scholarship Advisement Program. Each student received a $500 State Regent scholarship and a match of $500 from Eastern Oklahoma State College. The Partnership Recognition Program is led by the State Regents Economic Development Council. The program is designed to highlight successful training and educational partnerships between institutions of higher learning and their local business partners. Eastern’s partners the past two years have included the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and the McAlester Regional Health Center. Caption info:
