College Names New Vice President
For Finance George F. Taylor, CPA, will become Eastern’s first Vice President for Finance for the Wilburton college February 28 according to Eastern Oklahoma State College President Dr. Richard Bernard. The new vice presidency for finance grew out of a reorganization of the college’s business area Bernard said. Taylor is currently Chief Financial Officer for Bacone College, Muskogee. He is responsible for accounting, finance and reporting activities of the nonprofit Christian based college. Earlier, he served as a fiduciary trust officer for the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, Anadarko; as CFO of a venture capital firm in Georgia and as a grants manager for the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, TX. Taylor spent most of his accounting career in the oil and gas industry, where he worked in the 1980s and 1990s. Taylor holds a BBA from the University of Oklahoma. On the personal side, he is a marathon champion, and he and his wife, Crystal, have recently refurbished an Oklahoma City landmark, the old Governor’s Mansion, located north of Oklahoma City University. |
