Eastern Livestock Judging
Team Wins Dixie Nationals The Eastern Oklahoma State College Livestock Judging Team won the Dixie Nationals Livestock Judging Contest held in Jackson Ms, this spring. With a combined team total of 2846 points Eastern finished ahead of Blinn College by one point to win the title. Along with the team championship there were also several individual awards brought home. Students winning awards included: Katie Fields, High Individual Overall, High Individual Continental Division, 3rd High Individual Angus Division, and 1st High Individual Reasons; Justin Green 2nd High Individual Overall, and 2nd High Individual Brahman Division; and Tony Loucks 2nd High Individual Angus Division. "This was a great accomplishment by a very talented group of individuals," said Eastern Livestock Coach Todd Blocker.
