
Eastern Holds Homecoming Parade
Through Wilburton Community For the first time in more than 15 years, Eastern Oklahoma State College held it's annual Homecoming Parade down Wilburton's main street. There were more than 40 entries from across the college campus and from around the community in the parade Saturday morning (Nov. 3). According to Eastern Dirctor of Development/Alumni Relations Ann Owens, both the parade and the community involved Halloween carnival will be regular events that the college will share with the community. She also added that plans are already underway to make next year's events bigger and better. Wilburton Mayor Stephen Brinlee and Eastern President Dr. Stephen Smith ride a Wilburton fire truck in the Eastern Oklahoma State College homecoming parade.
