Children's Theater Auditions Slated Soon

Theatre Eastern announces auditions for the annual children's theatre production, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 3:15-5 p.m., in Mitchell Auditorium on the Wilburton campus. This year's play is TWINDERELLA, the hilarious retelling of the familiar story of Cinderella...and her twin brother, Bob.

Children, 2nd through 6th grades, are urged to audition. Rehearsals will be held each afternoon 3:15-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the production dates scheduled for Nov. 12-15, with daily performances at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Director Dottie Minshall promises a good show and an educational rehearsal process as college students and area children join forces for this comedy which is sure to please the 4000 area young people who see the play every year. Eastern's children's theatre program is the longest, continously running, children's theatre program in the state and was awarded the Governor's Arts Award for excellence in arts education in 2004.
