Kiamichi Electric Donates Safety Equipment To Local College

Kiamichi Electric Cooperative Member Services Representative Todd Minshall, left, demonstrates some of the advance features of a defibrillator to Eastern Oklahoma State College President Dr. Stephen Smith. The safety equipment, valued at more than $1,300, was donated to the Wilburton college by Kiamichi Electric as part of their "Operation Round-up" program. This program allows cooperative members to have their bill rounded up to the nearest dollar and the extra funds are used for various community service projects. According to Smith, the college Emergency Response Team will decide how to best use the new defibrillator.
