Alumni Association Shows Appreciation To College Sophomores

Sherri Prentice, Eastern Oklahoma State College Alumni Association President, speaks to a group of Eastern students, faculty and staff during Sophomore Appreciation Day on recently. This year’s annual event took place under a tent on the ‘White House’ lawn of the community college’s Wilburton campus. Nearly 90 people attended the event that was sponsored by Ben Curtis, Community State Bank, Latimer County Hospital, Latimer State Bank and Wilburton State Bank. Entertainment was provided by the school’s show choir, the Sound Sensations and hamburgers were provided by Eastern’s Agriculture Department.
