
Eastern Regent
Commended For Achievements Eastern Oklahoma State College Regent John Shero from Wilburton was presented a Certificate of Achievement during the February regular board of regents meeting by Eastern President Steve Smith, left, and Regent Chairman Burl Williams from Stigler. Shero had completed 15 hours of training in the Regents Education Program required of all regents in the Oklahoma higher education system. Regents receive training in ethics, creating a competitive economic and workforce advantage, presidential searches, role of lay governance, cooperative alliances with career tech and other topics. Chancellor Glen Johnson commended Shero for his “commitment to excellence in Oklahoma Higher education.”
