Science Division Announces Outstanding Graduate Crystal Ra’Nay Needham from Quinton was presented the Outstanding Social Science and Music Division Graduate by Division Chairperson Marilynn Duncan during commencement exercises Friday (May 2) on the Wilburton campus of Eastern Oklahoma State College. One graduate from each of the six divisions of the college is selected each year for the honor. During commencement, five other students were also named as Outstanding Divisional Graduates including: Jacquelyn Meyer, Preston, Division of Language and Education; Jeanette Wolf, Idabel, Division of Applied Science; Amanda Atkinson, Wilburton, Division of Science and Mathematics; James Russell, McAlester, Division of Business and Randy Tipton, Stuart, Division of Agriculture. Needham was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, President’s and Dean’s Honor Rolls, a member of the choir and Sound Sensations, active in Eastern’s Pep Band, named to Who’s Who Among American Junior Colleges, maintained a 3.8 grade point average and graduated in the top 10 percent of her class as well as being a full-time student, wife, mother and community worker. She plans to pursue a degree in psychology with a minor in sociology at Northeastern State University, Tahlequah. |
